I don't mind the work at all. I enjoy building things for others, so I think building a matching set of something would be quite a welcome challenge.

what would you suggest for someone who isn't big on jewelry?

It depends on their other interests. I've built fireflies and dragonflies before... music boxes, flowers, birds... cuckoo clocks. A pair of cufflinks, recently, although of course those only work if the recipient is inclined to wear shirtsleeves, which so many here aren't. Would they prefer something functional or something aesthetically lovely?

i think... they wouldn't really care what it was or what it did
so long as it was something that reminded you of that person, whenever you looked at it
