the doomed second love interest (despite the fact he never had a chance in hell) in your standard, cavity-inducing shoujo — which means oushi is loud, annoying, and (one of?) the main antagonist/roadblock the series encounters. a Well Meaning kind of guy who just goes about his emotions and affections in the most roundabout sort of way, he's also kind of pathetic and a total work-in-progress.
oushi is a
crau from
karteria. he was fitted with an augmenter implant and told he was meant to be a "hero" who can save this world and possibly even his own. for a month and a half, oushi struggled with the shock of being displaced and the responsibility expected of him. he had a big case of imposter syndrome, finding himself incredibly ill-fitted to do anything heroic, especially compared to all the far more capable (and supernatural) people he winds up meeting.
note that the choice to make oushi a crau is entirely to help him better assimilate to the setting, and so i personally would not have to write out a "normie gets traumatized trying to adjust to the culture shock" situation for a second time within just a handful of months. apart from having some harmless fun with the lingering effects/worries of what he just went through (for just the first month or so), the "crau" part of his situation will not be a large part of his character, if at all.
