[ when vanitas had first made mention of the hotel's spa, oushi had made sure to do his research. truthfully, he had veen wracking his brain for ideas since chirpy had first notified him of his win — something that still feels a little like a fever dream, made only more potent by the immediate draining of chips from his account — because the last thing oushi wanted to do, after so brazenly declaring his intent to win vanitas against his own wishes, was make matters more awkward by taking him on a date he'd hate.
sure, maybe it's cheating a little that he's basing the entire date on a suggestion from vanitas himself. but one could argue it's also just good sense. why struggle for a different answer if a perfectly good one is presented right in front of you? so long as he puts his all into the date itself, it shouldn't really matter whose idea it originally was?
(or so he tells himself, anyway.)
so far, they'd done a mud soak and a facial (the non-obscene kind). they just finished up a thirty-minute sauna, in which oushi might or might not have spent a little too long staring at the way beads of sweat would travel down the line of vanitas's torso, and it is out of sheer force of will alone that he manages to keep himself from tenting his own towel.
now, they're reaching the end of the spa date. just one more "couple's massage," and hour long, including the full works. overall it will be over three hours they'd spent together, talking idly, simply enjoying each other's company, indulging in wandering eyes and secret smiles. ]
So far, so good, right?
[ they're the only two in the changing room, where they'd just finished rinsing off the sweat from the sauna. now they're bundling up in fluffy white robes; oushi is currently helping vanitas tie his up, despite the other man never asking for help in the first place. maybe he takes care to knot the ties up into a bow, just like he'd seen vanitas favor in his attire many times before. ]
Gotta make sure this stays snug. Unless you wanna go around flashing people...
