[Vanitas' eyes eat up the view. He liked Oushi's body since the first time he saw it, inwardly cringing as he recalls asking him if he played sports in lieu of an actual compliment when they were perfect strangers. How embarrassing.
And now, he's seen Oushi's body a handful of times, and each time he does appear to be more and more toned. As perceptive as Vanitas is about his surroundings it would be impossible for him not to notice Oushi's progress even if he has no idea what motivates it. Though, he will complain later and accuse him of trying to seek attention or something equally as accusatory and rage-baity. But at least he behaves himself when there are other people around, sighing as Oushi lies down and hides under the modesty cover.
Vanitas ends up closing his eyes in response to the massage. It helps if he pretends the hands on him don't belong to strangers, but it takes a lot of effort to force himself not to think about it. His eyes only open when he feels Oushi's hand reach for his. Is it petty to be glad that he wasn't the one to seek his out first? He laces their fingers together silently. His eyes close again until he hears Oushi moan like a whore in heat and he responds with an abrupt laugh. His masseuse doesn't seem to find it funny, and pushes down hard against the backs of his hips near the base of his spine causing Vanitas to hiss then whimper. How does something hurt and feel so good all at once.
This is Satan's work.]
Augh.

Is that a request? Then...
😀
I suppose this is the only way to give you that private concert.

[ If they were in person, she'd laugh. Her, brave? That's so ridiculous. She feels as if she spends too much of her time worrying about the consequences of things, of what will happen to her if she can't find stability. Or, worse, if she simply dies on the battlefield. There's nothing especially courageous about her at all. ]
It's funny. I don't think that way at all.
I was pretty unhappy about the war. I hated fighting.
I was probably really frustrating to be around!
It's nice of you to say it, is what I mean.
[ She thinks her friends back home would disagree entirely but...well, if she twists it, she can maybe believe it's more that she's lucky to have people, and she can be grateful for that. ]
I think it's more important to strengthen the things that are important to you rather than to push yourself towards something that might not be what you want.
Don't get me wrong; having a healthy and fit body is good too!
But I think it's just as important to make yourself happy as it is to make others happy.

It depends on their other interests. I've built fireflies and dragonflies before... music boxes, flowers, birds... cuckoo clocks. A pair of cufflinks, recently, although of course those only work if the recipient is inclined to wear shirtsleeves, which so many here aren't. Would they prefer something functional or something aesthetically lovely?
